Ok - I'm moving on to Matthew, Peter, and Jonathan (although I haven't thoroughly re-read the geneologies to be sure). Once these get eliminated, I might have to brush up on some Bible. :) Is this supposed to be for just first name, or both first and middle?
Just to help Krista out~Jonathan is not a name that can be used. It's a past family-related name.
Matthew is out, it's an abreviated form of Mattathias which is in the line of Christ - Luke 3:25
Ok, my middle name guess (Matthew) is out but not my first name...
How about Timothy Michael
To answer the day's questions:
This is just a first-name game.
Matthias doesn't rule out Matthew--they are different names.
Jonathan isn't a family name per se, but Shelly's right, it's out because of a close family past relationship. That is all!
