I tried to make a guess earlier but this computer wouldn't publish the comments - My home computer is broke so couldn't do anything this weekend ...
My new guess was going to be Joseph but I now recall his name is in a list of the tribes of Israel in the book of Revelation - so won't work.
What aphabet are you using gpb??

My ~ guess of Joseph came before Hint 19... and it was also a bad guess because it occurrs in the last 5 books..
I threw out Titus some time ago and said so on this blog because of the nickname hint.
So if it is Titus ~ well, nuf said!
How about KayLee's guess of Philemon....(8 letters)
Can we call him Phil???

Titus can be shortened to Ty, and Philemon to Phil, so yes, KayLee's guesses are both still in the running as of now.
Krista - give us a short list of the "out there" names..

Whoops - I missed Robyn's comment that Titus can be shortened to Ty - in that case, Titus is the only one from my not-so-quite-inspired website that fits all the clues. Can I join KayLee on that guess??
So Titus it is... I am joining KayLee
I will comment that it's highly possible I missed a couple (after all, I have lots of distractions with my kids!) and it's also highly possible that the website I found isn't inspired and thus can be faulty. But that being said - I'm on the Titus bandwagon until that one gets eliminated!
Robyn - hope that wasn't cheating... :)
