My 3 tiered cake is um, having some issues... Mental Note: Don't do another tiered cake until you get some advice from someone who actually knows how to construct and frost a 3 tiered cake...

did you stick kabob sticks down through it to add support? brenna
I did... but I have gaps between layers and my frosting didn't smooth very well. It just looks... akward. I'll try to fix it this morning though. We'll see! It's the thought that counts right?
I know it is probably really late for this on this cake. But a few tips I have picked up is to trim cakes so they are flat on top and bottom so they stack nicely (I know this seems wrong as it is harder to frost cakes that have the inside exposed, but trust me!) You then freeze the cakes individually, then frost them when they are frozen. Cake freezes beautifully plain, it us the icing that doesn't. This way you can even make the cakes a few weeks in advance. The icing goes on very well and then the cake just needs to sit for about 2 hours to thaw. Hope everything turned out well, I look forward to a picture.
We are Rob (Lead Pastor), Robyn (The Pastor's Wife), Leeann (13, The Princess) and Titus (10, The Life of the Party) and Little One (Due December, 2016).
